Biography

John has 30 years of experience in the fields of used fuel and HLW storage, transportation, and disposal. John is the former manager of the Used Fuel and High-Level Waste Management Program at the Electric Power Research Institute. John led EPRI’s effort in developing an approach to understanding the overall impact of disposing of used nuclear fuel in the candidate repository at Yucca Mountain. John currently works on the technical bases to support used fuel storage and transportation, particularly very long-term storage issues, and on the impacts of advanced fuel cycles on used fuel and high-level waste
