Biography

David Esh is a the owner of Esh Consulting LLC that offers expert model building and technical assessment for complex systems. Previously, he was a Senior Risk Analyst with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (retired 2025) working primarily on radioactive waste issues. He has over thirty years of experience in the nuclear field, primarily in performance assessment (post-closure safety case). Prior to joining the NRC he worked for Argonne National Laboratory with an emphasis on wasteform development. He has a BS in physics, a BS in Nuclear Engineering, an MS in Nuclear Engineering/Geoscience/Civil Engineering, and a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
