Biography

Katie is currently the Regulatory Approvals Manager for Canadian Nuclear Laboratories Nuclear Power Demonstration Closure Project responsible for the Environmental Assessment and License Amendment for the proposed in-situ disposal project. Previous to 2020 Katie spent almost 10 years at CNL’s Chalk River site working as a Remediation Specialist and then as Manager of Environmental Remediation. Her scope included characterization, remedial options evaluation, remedial planning and field execution related to Chalk River’s historic waste management areas. Katie’s educational background includes a degree in Geological Engineering from Queen’s University and a Master’s of Science focusing on Isotope Geochemistry from University of Calgary.
