Biography

Dr. Brad Rearden is the Senior Director of Microreactor Programs at X-energy, providing innovative nuclear energy solutions through the development of transportable high-temperature microreactors, supporting the missions of the Department of Defense. Having served over 20 years at ORNL, Dr. Rearden joined X-energy in 2020 and has served in multiple leadership roles in the development of a megawatt class, containerized, transportable nuclear power system for DoD’s Project Pele and as Solution Architect for X-energy’s space nuclear programs including Lunar Fission Surface Power systems and space nuclear propulsion concepts.
