Biography

Miles Smith is a Vice President of Atkins Nuclear and is currently serving as Director of Waste Management at Whiteshell Laboratories in Canada. In this capacity he has responsibility for all waste management operations at Whiteshell which is home to reactors and hot cells used in the development of Canada’s nuclear power program. Over the last 30 years, he has had responsibilities for waste management and decommissioning at government and commercial cleanup sites throughout the US. Miles holds a BS in Physics from Oklahoma University and a MS in Health Physics from Texas A&M.
