Biography

Stephen S. Koenick, Chief Low-Level Waste and Projects Branch, Division of Decommissioning, Uranium Recovery, and Waste Programs (DUWP), Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards (NMSS). Mr. Koenick has been with the NRC for over 25 years with positions of increasing responsibility. He has served in capacity as Branch Chief in the Division of Decommissioning, Uranium Recovery and Waste Programs since May 2017. Mr. Koenick received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, and an Environmental Engineering master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University.
