Biography

After a 5-year university education in the field of geology, water/rock/soil interactions, I completed a doctorate in the field of geochemical interactions between natural materials (clayey rock) and cementitious materials. I pursued this research during 7 years (supervision of 9 theses) by leading IRSN's research actions in support of its expertise in the safety of radioactive waste disposal. Since 2017, I have taken over responsibility for the LETIS laboratory and the Tournemire URL to host all research activities (geomechanics/geology/corrosion/geochemistry/physics/mechanics of materials) on the geological disposal. Since 2021 I also lead the European project MAGIC (EURAD joint programming), relating to the chemical-mechanical aging of cementitious materials in geological disposal.
