Biography

Kevin G. Stricklin graduated from the University of Pittsburgh as a Mining Engineer. He spent 40 years working for the Mine Safety and Health Administration. He retired as the Administrator overseeing the enforcement activities of all mines in the United States. He was twice a finalist for the Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Award, was the Phillip Arnow award winner in 2016 which recognizes a career employee for their outstanding service, and a member of the Mine Rescue Hall of Fame. In 2020, he began working for Unwin Company as a mine safety specialist to support the DOE’s work at nuclear sites involving mining activities.
