Biography

Megan McLean is currently an environmental scientist and Acting WIPP Program Manager at the New Mexico Environment Department’s Hazardous Waste Bureau, working specifically on the WIPP Hazardous Waste Facility Permit. Ms. McLean holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Evergreen State College and is currently pursuing a Master's in Environmental Policy and Management at American Military University. Ms. McLean’s background includes environmental work for a public utility in Washington State as well as eight years’ experience at the New Mexico Environment Department, first in the Ground Water Quality Bureau, and now as part of the WIPP permitting group for the last six years.
