Biography

Mr. Christensen has worked in nuclear since June 2009. He started as a nuclear engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding. In 2012, Mr. Christensen began working as a Construction Inspector for the USNRC in Atlanta, GA. In this role, he performed inspections at new construction (AP1000/Watts Bar ) and operating nuclear plants. He continued to NRC HQ as a materials engineer in the Office of Research. In his current role, Mr. Christensen performs regulatory development and support for advanced reactors, including Molten Salt, High-Temperature Gas Reactors, and many other advanced nuclear reactors. He performs a significant portion of his work for the DOE-NE in the area of regulatory development of advanced reactors.
