Biography

Mark Costella is the Transition & Disposition Program Manager at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Mark has been with LLNL for 43-years, first starting as an atmospheric research scientist, advancing through the fields of ES&H management, into Facilities Management. In 2006, Mark established the Institutionally Managed Facilities organization, taking on his present role of LLNL’s Legacy Facility Long-term Stewardship and Risk Manager. Mark is an active participant on numerous LLNL, NNSA & EM strategic planning and stewardship committees. Mark has the dubious distinction of managing 4 of NNSA’s top 10 highest risk legacy facilities.
