Biography

As Chief Engineer, Dr. Burns brings over 25+ years of engineering experience to the SRMC team in the management, design, and construction of complex nuclear material processing and waste disposition facilities. Most recently, he served as the Chief Engineer for the BWXT Nuclear Services Group. Prior to that, Dr. Burns served as the deputy project manager and director of engineering for the SRS Salt Waste Processing Facility Project as a senior vice president for Parsons Corporation. He joined Parsons in 2005. Prior to his work at Parsons, Dr. Burns worked for the Defense Nuclear Facility Safety Board (DNFSB),
