Biography

Graduated of the Ecole Centrale de Lyon (1992), since 1998 Igor Le Bars has held several positions at IRSN (institute of radioprotection and nuclear safety) related to radioprotection and the safety of the nuclear installations and the transports of radioactive materials. Today, as Director of Safety assessment, he oversees all the IRSN's assessment, in particular for its mission of technical support of the safety authorities, for civilian installations and transports. He is member of permanent groups of experts of the French nuclear safety authority (ASN).
