Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary
Thasarat Sutabutr Vajaranant, MD, MHA, is the American Glaucoma Society (AGS), Lead Ambassador. She is a Professor, Vice-Chair for Strategic Initiatives, and Director of the Glaucoma Service at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is recognized as a clinician-scientist with a research focus on optic nerve aging, women's eye health, glaucoma epidemiology, and glaucoma management after corneal transplants. Her research has been supported by the NIH, NEI, the AGS Young Clinician-Scientist, AGS Mid-Career Physician-Scientist, and the Glaucoma Research Foundation. She currently serves as a member of the AGS Board of Directors and an Editorial Board Member of Ophthalmology Glaucoma.
