Dr. Evangelos Gragoudas is the Charles Edward Whitten Distinguished Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical school and Director Emeritus of the Ocular Melanoma Center at Massachusetts Eye and Ear. He is best known for developing proton beam irradiation for uveal melanoma, a treatment that is still one of the most effective and widely used therapies for cancerous eye tumors.
