Biography

Jeff Oke is a senior geomechanics consultant based in Kingston, ON, at RockEng, Inc. (formerly Mine Design Engineering). He has a Ph.D. in geological engineering from Royal Military College and Queen’s University. Dr, Oke offers expertise in underground support design and backfill services, and has over 5 years of mining geotechnical engineering experience. He has experience with 3D numerical modelling, and particular skills pertaining to developing calibrated models capable of reproducing support – rockmass interactions and overall ground response.
