Biography

Dr. Nadia Ramcharan is a passionate and dedicated educator with over two decades of experience in public education. Beginning her career as a 1:1 aide and paraprofessional, she advanced through roles as an elementary classroom teacher, ESL instructor, Reading Recovery specialist, and eventually into school leadership as Vice Principal and Principal. Her journey is a testament to resilience, determination, and the transformative power of education. A proud first-generation college graduate, Dr. Ramcharan holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership and remains committed to creating equitable and inclusive learning environments for all students. Her leadership is deeply rooted in data-driven decision-making, collaborative team building, and fostering a culture of excellence. She is especially passionate about supporting multilingual learners, special education inclusion, and cultivating teacher leadership. Dr. Ramcharan currently serves as a school principal while also mentoring aspiring leaders as a university professor. As a certified Apple Learning Coach, she supports educators in leveraging technology to enhance teaching and learning. She is an active participant in school culture initiatives and works closely with staff and families to ensure student growth and school-wide success. Her work is guided by a core belief: that every child deserves access to a high-quality education and the opportunity to thrive. Beyond her professional life, Dr. Ramcharan is a proud mother of three—two daughters and a stepson serving in the U.S. Marines—and credits her husband’s unwavering support as instrumental to her success. She continues to inspire others through her story, leadership, and unrelenting commitment to student achievement and educator empowerment.
