Laurentian University
I was born and raised in Limpopo, South Africa, where I completed my undergraduate studies in geology at the University of Limpopo. I then got a scholarship to do a masters project, in geology, at Laurentian University, Sudbury, Ontario. My project is on the geostatistical analysis of soil chemistry entails the use of geostatistical methods of kriging and simulation to evaluate and explore the spatial distribution of the trace elements of concern in the region and further correlate the observed patterns with vegetation distribution patterns from pre-industrial years to present times around the previously heavily contaminated smelter stacks.
