Biography

Melinda J. Hummel, P.E. Hummel is the engineering manager for Magnum Geo-Solutions, LLC in Loveland, CO, the engineering support group associated with Magnum Piering, Inc. Her primary responsibilities include helping Magnum customers and other design firms with foundation and earth retention projects utilizing helical piles nationwide. Some of her project experience includes design of machine foundations and equipment skids for mining and petro-chemical processing industries, excavation shoring, commercial foundation underpinning, and new commercial pile foundations. She holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Architectural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with structural emphasis, from the University of Wyoming. She is a member of AISC, SSSBA and SEAC. Hummel is currently a registered professional engineer in the state of AL, CO, CT, DC, DE, ID, MS, ND, TX and WY.
