Bridgeport ISD
My name is Lauren Martin, and I am proud to call the DFW area my home, where I was born and raised. After meeting my husband, I moved to the Wise County area, where we have built our life together with our three-year-old daughter. Family and community are both at the heart of who I am, and they inspire the work I do each day.
For the past eight years, I have dedicated my career to serving students in the same school district, growing as both an educator and a leader. I began my journey as a 3rd grade teacher in a Two-Way Dual Language (TWDL) classroom, where I had the privilege of helping students develop literacy skills in two languages. After several years, I transitioned to 4th grade, further deepening my passion for guiding students through critical years of growth and discovery.
My career then led me into instructional leadership as a PK–5 instructional coach, supporting teachers in strengthening their practice and empowering students across grade levels. Eager to continue making an impact, I stepped into administration as an assistant principal—serving one year at the intermediate campus (grades 3–5) and another at the high school. These roles provided me with valuable insights into the unique needs of learners at different stages.
This year, I am honored to serve as the district’s Language Arts Coordinator. Above all, I am passionate about helping students discover and use every tool in their learning tool belts to reach their fullest potential.
