Eric Wynands is a second-year M.Sc. student in the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences at The University of British Columbia. His research focuses on the advective transportation of CO2 enriched gasses through ultramafic mine tailings for carbon sequestration: efficient, large scale gas circulation requires understanding how the tailings transmit fluids and how reaction kinetics ultimately lead to sequestration.
Eric holds a Bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering from Queen's University.
