Biography

Zachary Murphy earned his B.S. in Chemistry with honors from Truman State University in 2021. He is now pursuing a PhD at the University of Central Florida, focusing on uranium chemistry for environmental and forensic applications. In summer 2023, he interned at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, analyzing core samples from a potential nuclear waste repository. Anticipating graduation in December 2025, Zachary aims to continue his radiochemical research while staying close to family in the Midwest.
