Biography

I am a PhD researcher based in the School of Chemical, Material & Biological Engineering at the University of Sheffield, UK. My research focusses on the chemistry at the cement-superplasticiser interface in blended Portland Cement and GGBS wasteforms. This project aims to widen the envelope of suitable powders which can offer appropriate workability to maximise infiltration of geometrically complex waste, as well as first time and robust performance as an encapsulant. My research is funded by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and supervised by UKNNL. I hold a first-class bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (BEng) from Northumbria University, Newcastle.
