Biography

Dr Matthew Lawson is the Senior Research Strategy Manager for Research & Development at Nuclear Waste Services, the Waste Management Organisation responsible for the long-term, permanent disposal of the UK’s radioactive waste. He holds a PhD in nuclear materials science from the University of Sheffield (UK), with a background in immobilisation science and wasteform evolution. Before joining NWS, Dr Lawson was Technical and Operations Manager for GeoRoc International (GRI), developing and increasing the maturity of advanced nuclear waste processing technologies and aerospace materials.
