Biography

Shinichi Higuchi is currently working for the Section on Decommissioning and Environmental Remediation, Department of Nuclear Energy in the IAEA. Before joining the IAEA, he worked for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and other public organizations in Japan for over 20 years. His experience includes nuclear regulation and the management of research and development programmes in various fields. He obtained a law degree in Japan and studied science, technology and innovation (STI) policy and public policy in the UK.
