Biography

Michelle Franke joined the Department of Energy’s Office (DOE) of Legacy Management (LM) team in November 2023 as a site manager. Previously, Michelle was a geotechnical engineer at Tetra Tech in Denver, Colorado where she designed new dams and dam rehabilitation projects as well as planned and implemented drilling and dam construction projects across at various sites in Colorado. Most recently, she was a Legacy Management Strategic Partner (LMSP) site lead several sites in Colorado and Utah. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in geological engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 2017.
