Biography

Brittany Pellettiere is an Environmental Engineering Student and Research Assistant at Florida International University. Her research interest is contaminant fate and transport in natural waters, and she will begin a PhD program in Fall 2025. Her current research focuses on improving long-term passive remediation strategies at the Savannah River Site, where her work involves identifying leading indicators, such as pH, conductivity and ORP, and correlating them with heavy metal and radionuclide contaminants, such as uranium and iodine. Previously, she completed an internship at Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department, where she worked on the planning and modeling of water and sewer infrastructure, and she holds a bachelor's in Organizational Management.
