Biography

Dr. Piler is a research scientist in waste processing technology (WPT) section under environment and waste technologies (EWT) branch at CNL, Chalk River, Canada. She has a PhD in chemical engineering from Lamar University, USA and masters in advanced chemical engineering from the University of Manchester, UK and bachelors in chemical engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, India. Dr. Piler's selected projects include economic and sustainable treatments for hazardous pollutants including PCBs, treatments for organics in the mixed waste streams, and graphite waste management in the nuclear industry, she is also the technical lead of the graphite project. Dr. Piler is very passionate about developing sustainable and efficient waste processing technologies for the energy industry.
