Biography

Dr Luiz Bortolan Neto received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Adelaide where he also conducted postdoctoral studies. Luiz has more than 15 years of experience developing and applying computational tools to solve and optimise structural engineering problems. Luiz joined ANSTO in April 2016 as a Structural Materials Engineer. His current activities centre on the application of computational and mathematical methods to solve complex engineering problems relevant to the defence and nuclear energy industries. Luiz also has a strong collaborative record with other organisations and has published more than 20 papers in international journals and conferences.
