Dr. Robert Griffin is a Research Scientist at the Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition (IHMC) and a Director of Research Professor in the University of West Florida and IHMC’s Intelligent Systems and Robots program. His work primarily focuses on the development of legged robotic systems, including exoskeletons, humanoids, and quadrupedal robots. The current focus of these efforts include the development of a new humanoid robot for the Office of Naval Research, expanding humanoid robotic capabilities to make them usable in the real world, and the development of a powered exoskeleton system for the Department of Energy to assist workers at DOE sites.
