Savannah River National Laboratory
Dr. Cory Trivelpiece is a principal engineer at the Savannah River National Laboratory. He received his Ph.D. in nuclear engineering in 2010 from The Pennsylvania State University and then joined the faculty there. In 2016, Dr. Trivelpiece joined the Glass, Cement, and Ceramics group at SRNL. His current research focuses on the fundamental science and applications of geoengineered materials (GEMs) synthesized from various waste streams such as landfilled glass and combustion ash. This work has implications in a variety of fields ranging from the disposition of low-level nuclear waste to reverse engineering ancient Roman concrete.
