Biography

Sandi Viršek received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in Geotehnology and Mining from Ljubljana University. After diploma he started to work for ARAO. From 2003 to 2008 He was responsible for GIS database and development of GIS tools for the screening of Slovenian territory in the search of the site for the Slovenian planned LILW disposal facility. He was also the member of the local community partnership (established by ARAO, to involve the locals in to the siting process) responsible for all technical topics during the siting. He helped with development of Slovenian parameters database from site characterization for the LILW repository. He was one of the main authors of the Program
