Biography

I studied Chemistry (MChem) at Heriot-Watt University before gaining a PhD in Carbon Capture Engineering from the University of Edinburgh. I then worked as a postdoc in the same group from which I obtained my PhD, followed by a second postdoc on the measurement of two-phase flow for geothermal power applications. I have worked as a Radiometric Specialist at NRS Dounreay since 2022, and am interested in non-destructive assay of waste, all aspects of nuclear power and energy systems in general.
