Biography

Yung Cheung is a seasoned nuclear industry professional with over 20 years of experience, specializing in radiological waste management and radiation safety. She has supported teams on complex projects involving Intermediate-Level Waste (ILW), and Low-Level Waste (LLW) in solid and liquid form, both in Canada and internationally. Yung's expertise extends to refurbishment and remediation projects, ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) assessments, radiation safety calculations, and the operational and environmental aspects of nuclear waste management and safety and licensing.
