• university education at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany by achieving a degree as geotechnical engineer (M. Sc. eq.) • > 20 years of experience working for the German waste management organisation BGE (formerly DBE) and its subsidiary BGE TECHNOLOGY. During this time, worked on different national repository projects at sites in rock salt and claystone. • Senior expert for numerical modelling and rock mechanics – special focus on the assessment of the long-term integrity and stability of the geological and geotechnical barriers under THM loading and rock mechanical analyses and safety assessments of mine openings • current affiliation: Head - Department of Numerical Modelling at BGE TECHNOLOGY
