Biography

Dr. Gafoor is currently associated with the R&D and Numerical Modeling and Analysis Working Group of BGE TECHNOLOGY GmbH, focusing on the development of sustainable solutions for the safe disposal of low to high level radioactive waste within a team of research and technical experts in the field of nuclear waste management. His experience includes the application of various numerical methods for safety/integrity analyses in the field of radioactive waste disposal, but not limited to the development of assessment methods or tools, their validation and verification, assessment of mechanical integrity of geological/engineered barriers.
