Biography

Dr. Eric Zwahlen is a characterization/certification specialist for SIMCO, the WIPP Management and Operating Contractor. He has 30 years of experience in radioactive waste management. His current activities include aspects of the dose-to-curie process, which is the topic of his presentation at this conference. Prior to working at WIPP, he was a Total System Performance Assessment (TSPA) analyst for the Yucca Mountain Project. He received his PhD form the University of California, Berkeley.
