Biography

Shelby Peterson is a Process Engineer at Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), the Liquid Waste contractor for the Department of Energy at the Savannah River Site. Shelby has five years of experience with SRMC, serving as a lead representative in the Tank Farms for salt batch processing and tank closure projects. She specializes in waste tank transfer evaluations ensuring flammability, corrosion, and transfer controls are maintained. Graduate of the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors, volleyball, and spending time with her friends, family, and two cats.
