Roane State Community College
Chris Whaley serves as Roane State Community College’s fifth President. Whaley previously served as Vice-President of Student Learning, Dean of Social Science, Business & Education, and Program Director of Paralegal Studies. He has taught at Roane State since 1997. He is a graduate of Roane State (A.A.), Middle Tennessee State University (B.S.) and the University of Tennessee College of Law (J.D.). Whaley is licensed to practice law in Tennessee, and he is a Rule 31 Civil Mediator. He serves on several Boards including The Roane Alliance, The Tennessee Valley Corridor, Mid East Community Action Agency and The National Association of Community College Entrepreneurship.
