Biography

Rocco Silverii is a nuclear engineer and has worked in the nuclear sector for 30 years. Through the years he has worked in several areas including thermal-hydraulic testing, severe accidents, decommissioning and waste management. Currently he is working for the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission where his duties are mainly in European Union support actions in support of nuclear safety, safeguards and radioactive waste management in non-EU countries.
