Biography

Dr Alex is UK Managing Director of GEL, the leading radiochemistry laboratory headquartered in Charleston SC. A UK presence was established in late 2014. She has worked for the last 25 years in the defense and security sectors, specialising in acquisition and US-UK Technology transfer. She is an Associate Fellow of the Royal United Services Institute. A former lecturer in history and politics at St Andrews University, she is the UK's greatest expert on Lithuania as well as a frequent commentator on Ukraine. In her spare time she is the National Vice Chair and Trustee of the UK's oldest military charity, SSAFA the Armed Forces Charity, which supports serving military personnel, veterans and their families.
