Biography

Kelly Hunter is the President of INTERA’s Federal, Coastal, and International Line of Business. INTERA is an employee-owned geoscience and engineering company established in 1974. INTERA’s history of conducting work supporting nuclear waste isolation projects goes as far back as the early 1970’s developing the first subsurface radionuclide transport code, leading to the Characterization and Performance Assessment support for the WIPP facility. Since those early years, INTERA has been involved in modeling, hydrogeologic characterization, and conducting performance assessments (PAs) of proposed radioactive waste isolation sites from around the world including WIPP, Yucca Mountain, Canada, France, Switzerland, Japan, Sweden, and UK.
