Biography

Karen is the Director of Strategic Programs and Partnership at Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL). She is responsible for AECL’s Federal Nuclear Science and Technology Work Plan, a nuclear research and development program. She is also responsible for developing strategic partnerships with government and academia nationally and internationally to maximize the value and benefit of AECL’s S&T programs. She has over 20 years of developing government programs including a number of Clean Energy Research and Development programs at the Office of Energy Research and Development as well as the Medical Isotope Program. She has also spent 10 years in R&D in industry before joining government.
