Biography

Katarzyna Siegien is a Senior Adviser at the Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (DSA) with a PhD in Physics and over a decade of experience in radiation protection and nuclear safety. Since 2014, she has worked on international regulatory cooperation programs in Russia, Central Asia, and Ukraine, focusing on nuclear legacy management, regulatory development, and radiation protection. Her work includes addressing environmental and safety challenges at legacy sites and strengthening international frameworks for radiological protection. She also leads efforts on radiation protection during armed conflict, supporting regulatory approaches to mitigate risks in unstable regions.
