Biography

I am a site and waste characterisation specialist with thirty five years’ experience within and outside the nuclear industry. I provide technical leadership, guidance and the development of best practice on waste sampling, characterisation and management projects across nuclear sites in the UK, Europe and Japan. The first eleven years of my career were spent in a commercial non-nuclear site characterisation organisation with the twenty four years to date have been spent within the UK nuclear sector. I started with British Nuclear Fuels Limited’s environmental capability in 2000 and most recently, technically leading the National Nuclear Laboratory’s waste characterisation capability.
