Biography

I hold a PhD in Particle Physics from the Free University of Brussels. Since 2005, I’m a certified radiation protection expert. For many years, I was a board member and chairperson of the Belgian Radiation Protection Society. Over the last 25 years, I subsequently occupied the position of section head at the Belgian Federal Agency for Nuclear Control, its Technical Support Organisation Bel V and Engie Electrabel NV in the fields of Radiation Protection, Waste and Decommissioning. Since January 2024, I’m a staff member at the IAEA as Waste Safety Specialist in the field of Remediation.
