Biography

Luc completed a Ph.D. degree from Laval University in 2007 for studies including optimal estimation applied to the process industry. After he completed his Ph.D., he was attributed an Industrial R&D Fellowship by the National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) to join the product development team at Algosys (Now part of ION Commodities, a division of the ION Group). He was first assigned on the development and implementation of innovative algorithms for improving the whole process of statistical data reconciliation. Resulting contributions have been included in several releases of metallurgical accounting software. He is the author of over 30 technical publications and conference presentations both on statistical data reconciliation and metal accounting.
