Biography

I am a Colombian-American medical student fascinated by the special senses. My studies of olfactory dysfunction and hearing loss have prior to medical school have led me to ophthalmology, where I enjoy learning about the diverse pathology that interferes with vision. At Stanford, I study frailty in ophthalmology, and applications of artificial intelligence in ophthalmology. I also organize the introduction to ophthalmology course and lead the Stanford ophthalmology free clinic. In my free time, I enjoy playing jazz bass semi-professionally.
