Biography

Dr. Guoming Lin is a vice president and senior geotechnical consultant with Terracon Consultants in Savannah, Georgia. For the past 30 years, he has led a team of geotechnical engineers and scientists to provide geotechnical services for over 5,000 projects. His project portfolio includes all major waterfront structures for the Georgia Ports in Savannah and Brunswick and several multi-billon energy and manufacturing projects, including the ongoing Hyundai EV plant in Bryan County, Georgia. He is a licensed Geotechnical Engineer (G.E.) in California and a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in several states. He is a Board-certified Geotechnical Engineering (BC.GE) by the Academy of Geoprofessionals (AGP). He has authored over 20 technical papers including a feature paper on the ASCE Civil Engineering and DFI’s Deep Foundation magazines. He was the principal engineer for one Grand Award (2006) and three State Awards (1997, 1999, 2018) in the ACEC/GA Engineering Excellence Award.
