Biography

Dr. Lucy Q Shen is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Glaucoma Fellowship Director at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Shen has been an attending physician on the Glaucoma Service at Massachusetts Eye and Ear since 2009. She was the winner of the Best Surgery Video Award from the American Glaucoma Society in 2012 and 2015. She collaborates with scientists in bioinformatics to assess optic nerve damage in detail and correlate it to functional loss in glaucoma. She has received several awards including the Mentoring for Advancement of Physician Scientist (MAPS) Award, the Young Physician Scientist Grant Award and the Mid-Career Physician Scientist Grant Award from the American Glaucoma Society, the Eleanor and Miles Shore Fellowship from Harvard Medical School and a research grant from the Topcon Research Foundation. She served on the AAO Subspecialty Day Programming Committee and is a member of the AGS Programming Committee. She is the co-chair of the Surgery Day of the 2021 AGS Annual Meeting.
